Our Global Rainbow Looking Beyond the Colors

Welcome to our World

Did you know...
The bow is divided into bands displaying the different colors of the spectrum and is formed by the refraction and reflection of the sun's rays in drops of rain. Reflection is simply the return of light waves from the raindrop's surface. Light which appears to be white, is really made up of a mixture of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet light.

You might think the rainbow is just many colors
But red is our heart which cares about others
Orange is the food that makes us healthy
Green is the things that make us wealthy
Yellow is our beliefs, we have a lot
Blue is our concerns, we should not let them rot
Indigo is our hopes and dreams, you should at least have one
As you can see the rainbow is unique just like everyone

Thank you from the students

This experience was neat because we were able to communicate with kids from far away.  We had the opportunity to learn about what they are like and what they do.  We liked using Nicenet as a communication tool because it gave us the chance to speak to the California students and talk to our friends.  We made some new friends because of Nicenet. The video conference was something that we enjoyed; it gave us the opportunity to meet our new friends.  We also learned a valuable lesson on how to work as a team. We were put into groups to accomplish our website.  Another cool thing was making the beach ball video. We had a blast filming the video.

Overall, this learning experience is something that we always will remember.  We would like to thank our team leaders Ms. Cerminaro, Ms. Ruiz and, Ms. Wiser for their guidance and for giving us the opportunity to participate in this wonderful program and to all the people at GVC and the Give Something Back Foundation who made this possible.

We hope you enjoy the website!
